Travel Advice is an independent, bilingual online travel magazine that publishes country guides, reportage and practical advice for travelling differently.
Our approach
We believe trips are prepared the way long reading is — with attention, curiosity, and the time needed to place each destination in its history, geography and culture. Travel Advice is not a price comparator, nor a booking platform. It is a magazine: a small editorial team that writes, verifies and illustrates content built to last.
Every country guide on the site is organised around several in-depth sections: overview, best time to visit, entry formalities, safety and health, getting around, food, key points of interest, suggested itineraries and recommended reading. We favour depth over exhaustiveness: a good guide is not the one that lists everything, it's the one that helps you choose.
What you'll find here
- Destination guides — in-depth dossiers on countries and regions, regularly updated and illustrated.
- Editorial articles — reportage, narrative travel writing, thematic analysis (slow travel, micro-adventure, responsible tourism, sustainable transport).
- Practical advice — entry formalities, safety, language, currency, climate, local etiquette: the information that matters before you leave.
- An interactive map — every destination is geolocated and tied to its weather, main cities and points of interest.
What we are not
Travel Advice sells nothing. We are not a travel agency, we earn no commission on the hotels, flights or activities mentioned in our content. No paid affiliate links hide behind our recommendations. Our only editorial commitment is to our readers.
Editorial independence
Our content is produced without commercial agreements with the destinations, tourism boards or operators we cover. When a piece follows a press trip or invitation, that is disclosed explicitly at the foot of the article. It is rare, and always flagged.
If you have a question, a correction, or a story idea, write to us via the contact page. We read every message.
